6 winners make it Sellers market

Shane Sellers, the 25-year-old jockey from Erath, La., lost onlytwo races Wednesday at Arlington International Racecourse, where herode six winners.

"You better have the fastest horse to win," Sellers said. "It'sabout 90 percent the horse and 10 percent the jockey to win a race."

Luck was with Sellers this time. When jockey Pat Day didn'tfeel up to par and cancelled his mounts, Sellers' agent, Ron Ebanks,grabbed three of them. They all won. Two other horses Day wassupposed to ride also won.

Sellers won with three of his five scheduled mounts to tie thebest score of the meeting by Day. The six winners gave him 141 forthe meeting. He has 49 days to ride 42 …
