Fed: Saudi Arabia lifts ban on Aust offal: Vaile
Saudi Arabia has lifted bans on Australian offal after two years of negotiations.
Trade Minister MARK VAILE says the Saudi government's decision to lift the ban unexpectedlyimposed in September 2001 follows extensive lobbying by the federal government.
Mr VAILE says Australian offal producers have the highest quality and health standardsin the world.
Before the ban, Australian offal exports to the kingdom were worth more than $5 million a year.
